Glacier Mass Balance Intercomparison Exercise (GlaMBIE)

We are pleased to announce that the main workshop of the Glacier Mass Balance Intercomparison Exercise (GlaMBIE; https://glambie.org) will take place in Edinburgh, UK, from the 28th to the 30th of August 2023. The workshop is open to the participants of the GlaMBIE exercise and to relevant stakeholders, the workshop will be dedicated to discussing preliminary results after the closing of the data submission, and to defining the next steps towards finalising the assessment.

Within GlaMBIE, we aim for a reconciled assessment of regional and global glacier mass changes towards the next IPCC report. A formal announcement for the opening of the main data submission will follow shortly.
