International Glaciological Society British Branch Meeting

The physical meeting is cancelled.
There will be a virtual meeting organized by the IGS British Branch and the IGS EGG

6–8 September 2021

The meeting will take place over three afternoons from the 6th-8th starting at 12:30 (BST) and finishing by 17:00. There will be a mix of oral presentations, poster flash talks and sessions, and social events.

International Glaciological Society Nordic Branch Meeting

4–6 November
University of Oslo, Oslo, Norway

We plan for a meeting with physical attendance, but it will be possible to join the presentations online.
The meeting will start with an Icebreaker reception at the Norwegian Water Resource and Energy Directorate (NVE), 4 Nov evening (18:00–22:30), followed by 2 days of conferencing at the Blindern Campus of Oslo University, Georg Sverdrups Hus (GSH), 5 and 6 Nov.
The meeting has been scheduled to allow concatenation of the Svalbard Science Conference (2–3 Nov), the Svalbard Glaciology flagship side-event (4 Nov), all happening in Oslo, thus enabling reduced travelling for those who will attend all these events.

Registration deadline has been extended until 15th of October. Please visit the the local website

International Symposium on the Edges of Glaciology

The conference will focus on edges in glaciology, which may include: beds of ice sheets or glaciers, supraglacial processes, crevasses, calving, grain boundaries (of ice and snow crystals), and perhaps philosophical edges.
